THESE COURSES ARE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN FROM 7 YEARS OF AGE AND 130 CM AND OVER
The basis of motor sport is karting. Almost all Formula 1 drivers started with karting. And to help you progress in karting, we have set up a special karting school at Kartcentrum Zwolle & Lelystad.
How does it work?
You are not tied to anything and you can enrol per lesson. A lesson lasts one and a half hours in total, of which you drive for about 50 minutes. The rest of the time, another group drives and you get theory lessons. You can also learn a lot from watching other drivers closely. Track time is divided up differently and is scheduled each day by the instructor.

Which karts will be used?
The karts used are RT8 karts (minimum length 155cm) and children's karts (minimum length 130cm). The kart school is run exclusively with rental karts. Please pay close attention to the height when you register for a group, as the number of children's karts is limited.
Who teaches?
Kartcentrum Lelystad has partnered with KWM Racing. KWM Racing, led by Mathieu van Renssen has years of experience in coaching racing talents and giving kart lessons. The big advantage for the drivers of the kart school is therefore that there is an extensive follow-up programme ready to continue in karting. Of course, it does not commit you to anything, but it is nice that the choice is there.
